Description of My PC for SUSE
After installing the new 40 GB hard drive we decided to install Windows 2000 Professional, and since Linux was in the back of my mind we gave it half the space. At the beginning of the install I partioned 20 GB with NTFS and left the other half of the disk unpartioned and unformatted. This worked fine when it came time to install SUSE a few weeks later. We were hoping for a dual boot set up and got it.
Technical Details Of The PC
I'm guessing that this machine is about five years old and originally had Windows ME on it. From the looks of it all it probably wasn't COMPAQ's cheapest model. I ran the Belarc utility on the Windows side for a description.
